CBS Sport 1 takes 2nd win in a row

For the first time ever, Frederiksberg Stadium hosted a CBS Sport Serie 2 home game, and what a start it would turn out to be.

The highest ranked CBS Sport team had some problems with attendance, and only 12 players from the team had signed up. That meant that Mats Wiik from the Serie 4-2 team and assistant coach Stefan Stefansson had to step in to help out.

Starting lineup:

Frederik Allan Mads
Peter Robin
Jonas R. Hejsel Rasmus Joachim

Subs: Manuel, Mats, Stefan

It was a very even start to the match. Both teams managed to hold on to the ball, but without creating any real chances. The CBS Sport boys seemed to have some problem with setting up attack in the start of the game.
It was Bk. Viktoria who got the first real chance. The ball was played over the CBS Sport defenders to the far post, and from inside the penalty area, a Viktoria player struck the ball with power towards the near post. Malte in goal went down and made a good save.

After that, CBS Sport seemed to get more hold on the game, but still without creating any big chances.

29 minutes into the game, the first goal came. A freekick from the right side was sent into the box from Allan. The ball wasn’t cleared properly by the Viktoria defenders, and after bouncing of a few players, the ball fell down in front of Mathias. He wasted no time and hammered the ball into the back of the net. 1-0 for CBS Sport which would also be the halftime score.

Where the first half was quite even, but with CBS Sport most on the ball, the picture in the second half would be very different. CBS Sport took control from the start, and never allowed Viktoria to get into the game. A lot of possession and a lot better movement by the CBS Sport players made it easy to play the ball around the Viktoria players. It would though take some time and a yellow card for both teams before we saw any more goals. Mathias was booked for diving in the penalty area and a Viktoria player for a tough challenge on Robin.

15 minutes from time, CBS Sport would go 2-0 up when Mathias doubled his score. And with 2 more from Mathias before the 90 minutes was over, CBS Sport took down a 4-0 win to keep their unbeaten record after 2 games in Serie 2.

The 4 goals from Mathias bring his all-time scoring record for CBS Sport to 75 goals – a fantastic record for just 40 games at the club.

1-0 Mathias Jørgensen (unassisted)
2-0 Mathias Jørgensen (assist: Manuel Erzuah)
3-0 Mathias Jørgensen (assist: Manuel Erzuah)
4-0 Mathias Jørgensen (assist: Mads Madsen)

Next match is in Kløvermarken, Saturday August 30th at 13:00 against Bk. Amalie.
