CBS Sport Football Women vs. ØKF

After a winter with a 7-a-side tournament and three 11-a-side practice matches, CBS Sport Football Women was eager to get on with the spring season.

1st half

First half starts of with good play from both teams. ØKF might look a bit better the first 15 minutes, but CBS Sport quite fast gets in control and gets a lot of chances and makes sure to keep ØKF away from the goal.

With only a little left of first half, Birgitte gets a ball to Anne-Mette, who makes what looks like a seen-better-pass that rolls passed the puzzled goalkeeper and into the goal. 1-0 at half time.

2nd half

ØKF starts of with more pressure and had a good chance at goal, that Cecilie fortunately got a hand on and gets over goal. Midway through second half, Darija gets a ball just at the start of ØKF’s half, which she sends towards goal, where Mo is positioned perfect and heads it in. 2-0!

CBS Sport keeps the pressure, but is starting to look a bit tired, and ØKF tries to reduce the lead, which – with about 15 minutes left – succeeds with a shot from the distance, that Cecilie gets her hand on, but not enough to get it passed goal.. 2-1.

After this ØKF really puts pressure on, but quite fast CBS Sport gets in control again and even manages to threaten on ØKF’s half.

The match ends 2-1, with a great first match and first victory of spring season 2013.

In retrospect

Everyone in the team made a great effort and Coach Jeppe was quite pleased, even though he wished for some more 100% passes – something that we’ll probably see more of at practice.
