New teams, new faces and more fun

Basketball in development

CBS Sport basketball is in a great increasing development. Especially when it comes to men’s basketball. Nearly 90 players have showed up at tryouts on the men’s teams. This called for a 4th men’s basketball team, with Canadian coach David Hoyer running the team.

CBS Sport Running team

This semester CBS Sport started a running team. So if you want to make some new friends while getting in shape join the running team. The team both has experienced runners with a couple of marathons behind them and some runners who just started running. The practice is designed for different levels and different paces. So you should not be afraid to join us on our weekly runs on Mondays and Wednesdays.

We meet at 17:00 in the CBS Sport office where it is possible to put your bags whilst running. Check out our practice schedule on www.cbssport.dk/runningteam. There will be a new schedule after week 42. The running team is currently running 10 km and practicing intervals since we are planning to do a race on the 25th of October 2009.

The race is called marathon start up and is a 5, 10 or 15 km. around fælledparken. Feel free to contact me on runningteam@cbssport.dk or on my phone on +45 30 28 31 35 if you have any questions.

CBS Sport Women’s handball

Due to a massive increase in the interest for playing on the women’s handball team, CBS Sport has decided to enroll yet another team in the tournament, making it a total of 3 teams in the women’s department. Hopefully due to the increase in interest, the teams this season will end up at the top of the league table.
