About

Would you like to play handball and also have time to study, then CBS Sport Handball is the place for you. We have 1 men’s team and 2 women’s teams that all play in the series leagues in Copenhagen. Past experience is required, but you are welcome regardless of playing level.

In addition to matches and training we focus on the social aspect. The team takes part in other tournaments including beach handball. CBS Sport Handball is a good way to meet students across study-lines and simultaneously keep you in shape. If you are interested in joining a practice at CBS Sport Handball or have any questions contact the sports responsibles. Furthermore please join the womens or mens facebook groups if you decide to try/join our teams.

Everyone is welcome to show up and try practicing with us before signing up!

LOCATION

The practices take place at Tre Falke Hallen, Sønderjyllands Allé 6, 2000 Frederiksberg

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the Handball Department there are several tasks that has to be delt with. To do this we have created different areas of responsibilities: Handball Responsible, Head Coach, Team Coaches, Team Responsibles and Social Responsibles. In CBS Sport Handball, everybody works on voluntary basis, although the Handball Responsible and the Coaches get the membership free of charge. In CBS Sport we have the slogan: “Volunteers aren’t paid, not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless”. In the following you can see the different areas of responsibilities:

Handball Responsible (Head of Handball):

  1. Budget setting and Finance Monitoring
  2. Monitoring of Membership Fee Payments
  3. Communication with EHF, DHF and SHF
  4. Handling National and International Player Registrations
  5. Participation in Handball Meeting:
    • User-group Jens Jessens vej (Frederiksberg Hallen)
    • Sports Committee in CBS Sport
    • Representation’s meetings

Coaches

  • Preparing / Handling practices and Matches
  • Re-scheduling matches

Team Responsibles

  • Coordinating the time-table schedule
  • Coordinating the website news
  • Phoning results to infosport
  • Arranging social events
  • Welcoming new players

Responsibilities of the players

  • Cancelling for practice has to be in good time, so that the coaches can plan the training.
  • Show up at practices and games
  • Always act with good sporting spirit inside and outside the court
  • Always pay player fee on time.

FOREIGN PLAYERS

Both exchange students and students studying a whole degree (both undergraduate and graduate) will have to make an international transfer from their native country in order to play games for CBS Sport. In the following, the rules and procedures for the international transfer are described.

CERTIFICATES

For the international transfer you need to print out a form, fill it in and hand it to either the coach on your team or the handball responsible.

You can find the form here. You go to the section called ‘Certifikater og internationalt klubskifte’ (Certificates and international transfers) and pick the ‘Formular for international transfer’.

EXCHANGE STUDENTS

As an exchange student you have to, besides bringing a complete form for international transfer, print and bring a documentation that you in fact are an exchange student of the Erasmus exchange program (if you are not from the Erasmus program, contact the handball responsible).

The documentation has to have the following information:

  1. Acceptance to an exchange program at CBS
  2. Start and end of exchange semester
  3. Your name


Note!: It is free to make an international transfer if you are an exchange student.
