Volunteers are awesome! – Camilla Henriksen

In CBS Sport we say

Volunteers aren’t paid – not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless!

Therefore, we’ll bring you a short interview with a volunteer here on our website once in a while to honor the people who makes an effort for the club. We hope you will follow. This time you will meet Camilla. She has been a member for one and a half a year and is sports responsible of tennis together with Marie.

What is the best thing about volunteering for CBS Sport?

The best thing about volunteering for CBS Sport is the great, extended social network you get. While playing the sport you like, you get to meet new people with different backgrounds and to expand your network from your studies, work and so on.

Many exchange students play tennis with CBS Sport, which is a great way for them to meet people from all over the world and help them get more integrated while studying in Copenhagen for a semester or two.

What do you do in your main time?

At the moment I am in a gap year, but I am starting my masters at CBS again this fall.

Tell us three facts about yourself:

  1. I’m 22 years old
  2. I am half French, half Danish
  3. I’m not a good tennis player

With which words would you describe CBS Sport?

Diverse, ambitious, innovative

Question from the last awesome volunteer: What do you think is the best thing about CBS Sport?

The best thing about CBS Sport in my experience is how it connects people from different studies, sports and nationalities – all sharing the same interest and therefore creating an amazing bond between members. It is a great possibility to get to know other people in a different way.
