CBS Sport vs. Jægersborg BK 4-5

The match

CBS Sport was the better team in the beginning of the game, and controlled it easily throughout the first half, despite it took a long time before we produce a real chance. It was only when we got a freekick outside the box and Birita curled the ball directly on target – 1-0.
It didn’t take long before CBS Sport was dangerous again. Some good combinations and a lovely pass by Mette, put Darija free in front of the goal where she easily doubled CBS Sports score line – 2-0.
A misunderstanding between CBS Sport defence and goalkeeper led to an indirect freekick and Jærgersborg reduced to 2-1. Just before half time Jægersborg equalized.

In the second half the game got far more messy and hard. Jærgersborg BK played very physical throughout the match, and instead of concentrating on our own game; we got frustrated with their way of playing. While we were still the best team on the pitch, Jærgersborg used our lack of focus to score two goals, both from direct freekicks. Half way through the game Birita got a beautiful pass from the center and reduced to 3-4. With 2 minutes to go Jærgersborg BK scored a goal directly from a corner kick and killed the last hope for a CBS Sport victory.
Although we were able to reduce to 4-5 in the final minute, we took off the pitch with a bitter 5-4 defeat, and zero points.

After the game Birita was voted ”man of the match”.
