Double promotion – and then some!

CBS Sport Football Men 2 aka. Magee’s Boy and CBS Sport Football Men 3 aka. CBS Internazionale

The stage was set for a great celebration on Saturday 1st of November at Jens Jessens Vej where two of CBS Sport Football men’s team played their final matches of the season. One team, Magee’s Boys, had already secured promotion from Serie 4 to Serie 3 and the other team, CBS Internazionale, would secure promotion with a victory. The two matches were played at the same time and on pitches next to each other, so the big question for the spectators was whether they should choose one match to follow, take a half on each match or wander back and forth between the two pitches.

There were a great number of spectators at each court and there was a fantastic atmosphere. The fans were ready with music, drums, lots of cheering and much more to help the two teams to victory. The CBS Sport Panther was of course also present to cheer on the teams and hand out sweets to the many spectators.

The great support on the sideline helped both teams to victory. Magee’s Boys won 3-1 against VLI giving them the 1st place in their pool and CBS Internazionale won 5-0 against FC Culpa giving them a 2nd place in their pool, meaning that both teams were promoted to Serie 3. Of course that meant a big celebration after the matches with ‘We are the champions’ playing while the players were doused in champagne and confetti, and celebrated by all the fans.

 

CBS Sport Football Women (7)

While the boys were celebrating their victories and getting ready for the big promotion party in the evening, the women’s 7v7 team also played their final match of the season. Like the two men’s teams the women won their match 4-0 against FA København and secured the third promotion of the day for CBS Sport Football.

A big thanks to all the supporters providing great atmosphere, the players for providing the great results and last but not least all the volunteers who made sure that the scene was optimal for a great promotion day.
