This week didn’t have that many matches, but those that were, had plenty of goals!
GVI vs. KS Women
Line-up: Cecilie – Chantal, Rakel, Kjældgaard, Majbritt – Chris, Mia, Stone, Benno – Laura, Caro
End result: 4-0 (1-0) defeat
WoM: Chantal
Jeppe’s comment: “Due to unfortunate circumstances we were left with only 11 players for our match on a sunny day in Gentofte. Five changes from the previous match, no native strikers in the lineup and six defenders, meant a defensive approach in a 4-4-2 formation.
Similar to the recent match against Heimdal we weren’t agressive enough in our own box and gave goals away we shouldn’t, whilst lacking the killer instinct on the final third. GVI took their chances well, whilst we lacked quality in the deciding moments, resulting in a 4-0 defeat.
We do leave the match with one positive takeaway as, once again, we were able to match our opponents in pace and conditioning for the full 90 minutes, despite having fewer players in the squad.
We now have to look forward towards our cup match on Tuesday where we’ll look to get back to our normal strength by fielding a full team with players in their natural positions.”

Jonas’ comment: “A close match all the way through. In first half the majority of the chances were CBS Sport’s and CBS Sport were even deprived of a penalty that everyobody saw except the ref. The goal came as Kathrin took the ball through the PI defense and served it to Rolle at the edge of the box, where she hammered it in just under the top bar! Second half didn’t serve many chances, but the CBS Sport defense is playing solid. Everyone on the team showed great attitude and good fight all the way through.”
