KFUM vs. CBS Sport Football Women

Typical for a season start, Coach Jeppe had to make som changes due to a few cancellation from the usual starting 11. This also meant that the starting formation was a regular 4-4-2 compared to the last seasons 4-4-1-1.

1st half
Like last season Coach Jeppe wanted the team to put pressure on from first whistle. As requsted CBS Sport took the lead from the beginning, keeping the ball possesion and being dangerous on KFUM’s half.
KFUM only got to a few plays close to goal, which was fairly fast rejected by either the defense line or Cecilie.
CBS Sport had some good chances on goal, and both Julie and Ree did some great runs along with CC and Darija on the wings, giving KFUM a hard time. But first half ended without any goals.
2nd half
Due to Brunsgaard only being able to play one half because of other obligations, Coach Jeppe moved Bea to the central defense and subbed in Signe Bang to be on the right fullback. Furthermore Coach Jeppe went back to the usual 4-4-1-1, putting Anne-Mette up as the attacking midfielder, giving Julie a break. CC got in as midfielder and Zenia got in on the wing.
This gave the following line-up:

Subs: Julie, Sidsel
The changes meant a bit of a shaky start on second half, but CBS Sport fast adjusted. CBS Sport still got to great chances and Rhieanne and Anne-Mette complimented each other well on the top – with great runs from Darija to compliment it. Also Signe Bang managed to take a great run up the side, while having good communication with Zenia. A great debut to both of them!
KFUM got closer to good chances – possible due to CBS Sport starting to be a bit tired – but again nothing that paid off. With only a few minutes left, B got injured, forcing Coach Jeppe to put Darija in the central defense. Signe Bang also needed a pause, giving Sidsel some time in the defense, after doing a good job on the wing.
The pressure from KFUM got bigger, but CBS Sport held their ground and the match ended 0-0.
In retrospect
As expected KFUM gave us an even match. Giving that it was the first match, with four 11-a-side debuts to Bea, Signe Bang, Zenia and Sidsel, it could almost go for a great success. Most important CBS Sport could take home one point. Just like the last match against KFUM.
