Football Women vs. Østerbro IF
CBS Sport Football Women (11) vs. Østerbro IF
Date: 3rd of October 2014
Lisa managed to get sick (meaing no WoM-cake.. No good!) and Ingrid’s old-old body was probably not gonna endure for a whole match, but fortunately Sidsel was able to step in and bring us up at a full 14 squad:
Subs: Amanda, Mari, Sidsel
First half was awesome with great play and three outstanding goals:
Laura made a great cross to Kiri who hit the cross first time on the volley, securing a beautiful lead 1-0!
Later on, Laura was again involved with a great assist, this time with a chip ball over the defense to Caroline who controlled it perfectly and finished calmly with her right foot outside of the goalkeepers range, making the score 2-0!
Close to half time, the midfield wanted to join the party, as Mia sent a great through ball to Ingrid who didn’t waste the 1v1 with the keeper and put the ball in for a 3-0 lead!
Second half things started to get harder. Østerbro pressured us further down on the pitch, and as Coach Jeppe started to sub it became evident, that we handle that kind of changes bad..
Mari got subbed in for Caroline on the left wing, and as Chris and Mari’s agreements wasn’t fully in place, a Østerbro player took a shot from the distance that sailed into the goal where Cecilie wasn’t even expecting the shot. 1-3.
With 15 minutes to final whistle, Sidsel was to be subbed in onto the right wing, but the ref wouldn’t allow her to play with her scarf and ordered her to take it off while the match continued. This created enough confusion in the defensive line for the Østerbro striker to get through the defense and score for 2-3.
CBS Sport was under high pressure, but managed to step it up and keep the score at 2-3 until the final whistle!
A bit thanks to all the supporters! We hope you enjoyed the show – next time we’ll try and add less tension.
