About

In our teams, we have a great mixture of Danish and foreign students, creating an international atmosphere. This is a great opportunity to get to know fellow students and new people from Denmark and around the world.

All teams participate in DBBF’s tournaments, but you can decide to only participate in the practices. Everyone is welcome whether you are an experienced player or a beginner.

Men’s teams

We have three male teams at all levels and the teams practice 1-2 times a week, so if you like to play basketball at a slightly higher level, as well as on a lower stage without it taking all your leisure time, then CBS Sport Basketball is the place for you. Here you have the ability to combine seriousness with fun and unity. Everyone is welcome whether you are an experienced player or a beginner.

Here are the teams:

1st Men’s team (2. Division Herrer Øst)

This team offers a competitive environment for more experienced basketball players. Expect set plays, an organized defense, and inspired and competitive teammates.

2nd Men’s team (3. Division Herrer Øst)

This team requires experience with organized basketball to participate, but has a more relaxed approach towards competition than the first team. Expect lots of 5-5 in practices, a going-with-the-flow approach to games, and some friendly trash talk.

3rd Men’s team (Serie 1 Herrer Øst)

This team is a mix of newer and more experienced players. If you are new to the sport, this is where you can try it! Expect organized practices and lots of opportunities to improve your basketball skills!

Women’s teams

We have one female team which plays in 1st Division East.

1st Women’s team (1. Division Kvinder Øst)

This team requires some experience with basketball to successfully participate. The team likes to have fun, but also wants to do its best in the league competition.

Womens 1st team is looking for new players

We are looking for for somewhat experienced players who like to compete. We like to have fun, but also want to do our best. If you are interested in joining, or want to know more, please contact us on basketball@cbssport.dk.

The women’s 1st team has a mascot called Sonja (pink dolphin)

TRYOUTS AND PRACTICE

During the first weeks of the fall and spring semester, we are having try-outs / open practices for some of the teams, after which the teams are formed.

Try-outs 2022:

Men’s 1st team:

• 05.09. 20:30, Skolen på Nyelandsvej (into the main entrance, up the stairs and to the right)
• 07.09. 19:00, Skolen på Nyelandsvej (into the main entrance, up the stairs and to the right)

Men’s 2nd team:

• 05.09. 18:30, Johannesskolen (to access the gym go into the yard and down the stairs at the bicycle parking)
• 08.09. 20:30, Skolen på Nyelandsvej (into the main entrance, up the stairs and to the right)

Men’s 3rd team:

• 13.09. 20:00, Skolen ved Nordens Plads (you find the main entrance by going through the parking lot)

Women’s 1st team:

• 05.09. 19:00, Skolen på Nyelandsvej (into the main entrance, up the stairs and to the right)
• 07.09. 20:30, Skolen på Nyelandsvej (into the main entrance, up the stairs and to the right)

Women’s 2nd team:

• 28.09. 19:30, Skolen ved Nordens Plads (you find the main entrance by going through the parking lot)
• 01.10. 16:00, Skolen ved Nordens Plads (you find the main entrance by going through the parking lot)

If you miss the try-outs, then you should contact the coaches before coming to practice.

Fee for one semester:

Men’s teams:

• 1st team (2nd division): DKK 825 / Practice only: DKK 500
• 2nd team (3rd division): DKK 600 / Practice only: DKK 300
• 3rd team (Serie 2): DKK 500 / Practice only: DKK 300

Women’s teams:

• 1st team (1st division): DKK 825
• 2nd team (serie 2): DKK 400
